I couldn't sleep last night so I thought about all the places you could move. Here they are, in order of my preference. Because your move is all about my vicarious experience:
1. Paris
2. Brooklyn
3. Silverlake, Los Angeles
4. Oakland (!!!)
5. St. Louis
6. Philly
7. Providence
8. Minneapolis
i really like this list, it's got some old favorites (why three !'s after oakland?) -- and some strange ones like providence? rhode island? you know matt and anita live there now and they are questionably happy with it.
My list for you, based on previous list:
1. Brooklyn
2. Philly
3. Providence
4. Paris
5. Silverlake
6. Oakland
7. St. Louis
8. Minneapolis (Minneapolis?!? It's so freaking cold there!!)
Ok, here's mine:
1. Northern Brooklyn -- in a spacious apartment, I don't care which exact neighborhood.
2. St. Louis -- South Grand
3. Paris -- could i really live there? of course i could
4. Chicago
5. Pittsburgh
6. Upstate New York, in an inexpensive old house close to a "main street" -- maybe somewhere *like* Newburgh. You know, not too white.
8. Oakland -- Lake Merritt? Temescal?
7. I wish I knew L.A. better, but I'll put Silverlake on there.
